چکیده
Cables are slender structures with a complex geometry, that can undergo large deformations during their installation or in dynamic environments. In combination inner structure they pose challenging problem for finite element simulations. this article simplified approach is presented to model cables by using an effective material and homogeneous cross-section, which anisotropic the elastic inelastic domain. For high-order hierarchic shape functions quasi-regional mapping, ansatz spaces applied tension, torsion bending The identification of parameters conducted based on experimental results tension test particle swarm optimization algorithm. Finally, identified validated combined load case free bending, showing promising regarding simulation cable structures.

Efficient, Physically Plausible Finite Elements
This paper discusses FEM-based simulations of soft bodies in terms of speed and robustness. To be physically plausible, three fundamental laws must be respected: rotational invariance, Newton’s law and Euler’s law. We show that precomputed strain-displacement matrices generate nonphysical torques which can lead to visual artifacts. We then derive the fastest FEM-based method meeting our criteri...
متن کاملSimulation of tagged MR images with linear tetrahedral solid elements.
Computer simulation of tagged magnetic resonance (MR) images is presented using signals derived from connected solid triangular or tetrahedral elements. Simulation provides precisely-known deformations for validating tag quantification algorithms. MR imaging signal is derived by Fourier-transforming over a standard element, then mapping to actual elements via transformations. Linear intensity v...
متن کاملError estimates for anisotropic finite elements and applications
The finite element method is one of the most frequently used techniques to approximate the solution of partial differential equations. It consists in approximating the unknown solution by functions which are polynomials on each element of a given partition of the domain, made of triangles or quadrilaterals (or their generalizations to higher dimensions). A fundamental problem is to estimate the...
